What we collect
- Order details. Your name, delivery and billing address, email address and telephone number, together with the appliances you ordered and the amount paid.
- Payment data. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of the payment and the last four digits of the card. We never hold the full card number.
- Correspondence. Emails, call notes and messages about deliveries, installation questions, cancellations, faults and warranty claims.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, pages visited and the currency you selected, collected when you use the site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To perform our contract with you: taking payment, arranging delivery, handling cancellations and refunds, and dealing with faults and warranty claims.
- To comply with legal obligations: keeping accounting and VAT records, and meeting our duties under consumer and product safety law.
- For our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, preventing fraud, improving how the catalogue works, and defending legal claims. We balance these interests against your rights and will stop where yours prevail.
- With your consent: sending marketing emails, where you have asked for them. You can withdraw consent at any time, and every message contains an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and site storage
We store your currency choice and basket count in your browser so the site behaves consistently as you move between pages. This information stays on your device and is not used to identify you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Where we use analytics or advertising cookies, we ask for your consent first.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed to run the business: delivery carriers and installation partners, our payment provider, the manufacturers whose appliances we sell when a warranty claim is raised, and our accountants and IT suppliers. Each supplier acts on our written instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Where a supplier stores data outside the United Kingdom, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement, together with the safeguards the law requires. Ask us and we will tell you where your data is held.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as tax law requires. Correspondence about a fault or claim is kept for six years from the date it closes. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them, and for two years after that as proof of the withdrawal. Technical logs are kept for twelve months.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another provider in a portable format. You can object to processing carried out for our legitimate interests, and you can opt out of marketing at any time.
Write to to exercise any of these rights. We reply within one month. There is no charge unless a request is clearly excessive.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling their helpline. Complaining to the ICO does not affect any other legal remedy available to you.

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version always appears on this page, and material changes are announced on the home page before they take effect.
